How to change the foglight bulbs???

Why Infiniti made it sooo hard to change the foglight bulbs?? I'm pretty good at with these things and I never had any problem with changing the bulbs in my other cars. However you can't even see the damn foglight bulbs location with the hood open. I turned the wheels and jacked up the car but still can't get to the damn foglight bulbs!!! I was able to change the vertical light bulbs though.

No wonder there is no instruction in the manual about this because it's so difficult to do. The manual just says the bulbs can be replaced without removing the headlight housing....now that's a helpful instruction.

For those lucky enough to change theirs, how about a detailed instruction for rest of us...thx

Re: How to change the foglight bulbs???

In the Tech and Mods Forum the first thread there on top has some instructions on how to accomplish this on the sedan, which is very similar to the coupe. Hope this helps.

In short, remove many screws and the holder tabs on the fender lining. Reach in, and locate the fog/high beam, squeeze the spring clip and rotate down, replace bulb, and reinstall.

Re: How to change the foglight bulbs???

Well, I guess I'll have to remove the wheel trim entirely next time. I tried to change the bulbs with it half opened.

Anyway, I bought PIAA Super Extreme White H4 for the foglight bulbs. But I have already returned it and I'm thinking about getting the PIAA Plasma Ion Yellow bulbs. I think the Ion Yellow will have a good constrast to the blue HID. The Plasma Ion emits many different color, including yellow, blue and little purple.

Does anyone has Plasma Ion Yellow for your G35 coupe foglight?

gordgee...I'm asking...couldn't make up your mind or you forgot to clip the spring clip securely on both sides.

Re: How to change the foglight bulbs???

The bulb originally listed in the manual was incorrect. I was I believe one of the first to find out about the mistake when I pulled everything apart. Had to reassemble and return the bulbs for the correct ones.

I forgot to mention, I then replaced my replacements (Cool Blues) as I wasn't happy with the brightness with one of the first set of SilverStars available. I later decided to replace the wedge bulbs with PIAAs for a better colour match. In other words, I had a LOT of practice! LOL !

kkh713x - I was looking at your car in the Rides section, and you mentioned you used a PIAA Extreme White wedge bulb in your headlights. This is prob a stupid question, but was that for the vertical light? Thanks a lot...I'm thinking about going with a blue bulb in there...can't wait for my coupe
