Re: Nismo Exhaust Photo

Hey VITESSE,

From the looks of it, your exhaust tips appear to be sitting in behind your rear diffuser (I think that's what it's called) by 1/2" or so. Am I seeing this pic correctly? My stock exhaust tips actually stick out ~1/4 inch past the outer edge of the diffuser which would mean your exhaust tips actually are about 1-2" shorter than the placement of the stock exhaust. Is this right?

If so, I need to do some more research on Stillen and Fujitisibo (sp?) and see what those exhaust tones sound like w/ the RT Cats. Thanks for the photo.

Re: Nismo Exhaust Photo

Wow.. the JDM version looks much nicer. I have the Z version and its too short and hides under the rear bumper. Also I think its too loud in the cabin under normal driving (1500-2500rpm).

Re: Nismo Exhaust Photo

neffster, it is the rear difusser you are reffering to, the tips come right to them, i actually like them under than coming out of the bumper.

Re: Nismo Exhaust Photo

Where did you get the extension piece for the nismo exhaust? Also do they make a Nismo exhaust specifically for the G35 coupe?

Re: Nismo Exhaust Photo

From what I see, the JDM version aligns nicely. The US Z version with the extension is too short. You can barely see the NISMO etching on the tips. If I had known this, I would not have bought it. I wonder how hard it is to extend the tips.

Re: Nismo Exhaust Photo

JDM Nismo is NOT cheap. $1400 from teiwa corp.
just like Top Secret exhaust, u gotta pay to have JDM bling** haha. Like I said, fujitsubo exhaust is pretty much same as Nismo except the Logo. Dont know about the other exhaust sound but mine is pretty quiet. I'll post side view soon to give u an idea how much it sticks out.

Re: Nismo Exhaust Photo

Rspec,
Did that price include shipping, tax and every other fee imaginable? I'm familiar with the price for the Stillen, and this is not too much more, but I'm still undecided. (not sure if I want to LOSE hp in the lower rpm range just to gain it back, plus some, around 4800-ish) Thanks again for your help.

Re: Nismo Exhaust Photo

The US Z version cost something like $1000 with tax so $1400 isn't that far off. Is the tip circle or oval (Z)?
