Rock chips on Bumper

2006 G35 5AT

I have approx 5-6 nicks from rocks already on my front bumper.
It is common knowledge that the bumper on G35's are very soft and chips very easily from flying debris like rocks.

Is this a common problem among all other Infiniti Cars/SUV like M35, FX35, FX46 etc etc?

Infiniti gave the good paint to the new EX. We all have to suffer till it carries over to the other models.

My 06 coupe front bumper is a disaster. I have already b1tched and moaned to my dealership. They have offered to split the cost to repaint which would be $150 out of my pocket. Haven't been back to b1tch more yet.

when they repainted my new 06 cover they prepped the primer, shot it, cleared it, and then instead of flash baking like they do at the factory they baked the bumper at a lower temp longer to let it all bind and harden. alot of shops will bake at a higher temp for 20-30 mins to get the car out faster
