Either people are still largely unaware of the G or it just really looks that good.

I'm stopped at a light a few cars back and a 240xz with a couple of 'kids' pulls up next to me in the left turn lane and gets my attention. They wanted to know the HP and then the price. Of course I asked for a guess and one of them said 'about 50?' I only said 'A bit less. Look it up, you might be surprised.' After reading Wrah's post I'm thinking I might have come across a little conceited, oh well. I was just a little blown away by the estimate.

Anyway, it's always nice to have people overestimating the car though. Like the time I caught a SL500 owner trying to sneak glimpses at a gas station. I should be the envious one in that situation.

Nate, one of the guys at the golf club where I play, after seeing my coupe, went immediately home and looked it up on the web to see what the cost was. He later confided to me that he thought I had perhaps come into some money to be able to afford a $80,000 car lolol. I found out another guy thought the reason I was playing at this club was because I couldn't afford to go anywhere else after paying so much for THAT car..lol. It fools a lot of folks.

Get used to it man! When I first drove it to the office, one of th engineers I work with estimated $60K+ when I asked him to "guess". I don't really tell anybody...but I say that it was "better than you think"
