Did a quick photochop, its crude I know but glancing at it quickly - I really wish someone would make a center grill like this. I don't like the gialla because of the frame, makes it look like a mouth (I hate cars that look like they are smiling).

Haha, it's funny you say that the gailla grill makes the car look like it's "smiling." I thought the same exact thing, like some happy anime blob or something.

I agree that the stock one looks decent with the right color, but with IP like I have I think the stock looks too docile for my tastes. I was actually thinking of buying another stock grill, cutting the crossmembers off it and then finding some sort of black steel mesh with the same pattern as our "bar-b-que" grills below the lights. I could then combine the two and slap that 350GT logo on it. That way I'll get a barely visible frame combined with a uniform appearance of the grill pattern.

The only thing I can't figure out is how to cut the crossmembers off while still keeping the frame on the inside edges smooth and straight, there would be trapezoidal holes on each side (I hope I explained that right). I don't have any shop experience so I have no skillz. Any ideas?

 

Ya know the more I look at that picture, the more I want to see a black Impul (? i think thats the one) grill on a white coupe....might look good, might look tacky but I think its worth it to see.

To each his own. All I know is, I want something simple but not too elegant. I was thinking of maybe getting my trusty dremel tool and cutting out that "trapezoidal" pattern out from the already cut crossmembers (as described in my last post) and maybe using modelers glue to bond to the grill frame. The challenge is how I can make the frame look smooth like it is supposed to be that way.
