Spoiler / Brake light question

Since I bought a G w/o the stock spoiler, my 3rd brake light is now in the rear window. If I were to get the stock spoiler put on, does the dealership have a way to correct this? Perhaps unhooking and removing the interior 3rd brake light and then hooking up the spoiler LED or am I correct to assume they will just throw a spoiler without an LED strip on and tell me to have a nice day?

Re: Spoiler / Brake light question

unhooking the 3rd brake light is easily, but if you take it out, you're left with a couple holes. To discontect the 3rd, all you do is push the light towards the rear of the car and pull up. You'll see a harness, disconnect it. There's another harness in the trunk area for a spoiler. When you take out the grey cover piece that's on the top trunk, you'll see the harness.

I really doubt the dealer will remove any brake lights. If you are getting a stock spoiler added on, then yes it will come with a brake light in it.

Several people have removed the brake light in the rear window themselves, or just unplugged it.

I got my spoiler added on at the dealer.... It was either that or wait 4 months to get one with it on from factory.. The third brake light is still there but it is disconnected.. The spoiler had the LED and looks awesome... I dont even trip off the extra brake light being in the back... looks awesome....

Yeah its just all those little things that bother me to death on cars. I showed my friend the "cleared headlight" mod and was told im too much of a perfectionist. hehe

Re: Spoiler / Brake light question

However, Im sure Ill be able to get along with the third brake light in the back window just disconnected. I just wanted to make sure I would be getting the LED spoiler...kinda wouldnt look right without it.

sorry for the double post but edit doesnt seem to work on this forum and I submitted the first post early....
