So some F'ing black dude decides to run a red light and hits me. Lucky i had a good reaction time and i slammed on the brake. He managed to hit my front bumper. Massive paint lost and scratchs on my right headlight. Thank God for brembo brakes! The guy s car's rear bumper cracked.

This dude had no L's on him, no insurance, doesnt even own the car he was driving and resides out of California. I was so confused and bewildered that i didnt called the cop. I took down the insurance card that was in the car and they said its their friends. His mom was also riding with him and i got his mom's L's and info. Then he stays at that dudes house which is like 45mins away and that he will call me and give me his L's info. Anyhow so i got it and i dont know if its real or not. But anyhow yeah. So to the insurance company i go and see what they can do.

I have a deducatable for 1000. The damage i can see is gonna cost around 1600. Now, heres the catch, okay my insurance calls the guy and tells him his car got into an accident. He claims he dont know and his car was stolen. I still can claim insurance. If i do that, in return i will recieve a point on my driving record leaving me with a total of 2. One was from another incident. Leaving me an additional 900 bucks to my insurance prem. I already got 900 for one point, imagine another 900 for another and plus im still young driving a coupe that is considered fast to them. =( I pay high enough insurance. Well my dad does but that does not mean i shouldnt care.

The other way is if my insurance cant do anything about the situation but the only soultion is to file a hit and run claim and if my repair happens to cost less than 1000 then i will forget about filing that claim and will shell out money myself to fix it so i dont get that point.

And the other way is i do win the insurance and i dont have to pay jack which i hoep happens.

I talked to the police and they said what will happen is that my insurance will call the ars insurance and they will hash it out. If they cant then it will be brought to court to be settled.

Also, i have a witness of what happen. Im praying that i win the case and i dont have to shell out money and my dad doesnt have to shell out even more money.

 

jesus chirst dude, that really really [censored] sucks. thats so funny. not trying to sound racist or anything. when i got my first car (used 99 audi a4 1.8t) a black woman hit me 3 days after i got it. she hit my side while backing up and denied it was her fault. first school security came (it was at a college) and they were all black, so they wrote a report saying it was no ones fault. then officer came and heard from the security people and told me that it wasn't her fault.

then 1 year after (about now) I got my first brand new car g35 coupe. guess what. 3 days after (right after I got a nice car wash to get rid of the snow and salt). a black girl hit me. i was trying to get her insurance info. and for some reason she wouldn't give it to me. then she tried to flee. so i tried stopping her from turning her ignition on. officers came and instead of writing a report. they said they were going to lay me out (knock me out). some bull crap world we live in.
but dude ur situation is worse. i feel for you man.

Hopefully you've learned a valuable lesson from this incident. (The same lesson I learned the hard way). ALWAYS CALL THE COPS IF YOU ARE INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT AND YOU ARE NOT AT FAULT. That's why we pay taxes, so that the police can "Protect" and "Serve".

I had a similar incident happen that you described (I was hit by a "non-English" speaking woman/ at least until she found out that I spoke a good bit of Spanish, then she magically learned how to speak English).

After talking to the GEICO rep (my insurance company) several weeks after my accident (I found out the lady did not have valid insurance even though she showed the cop a valid insurance card) here's what the GEICO rep. told me to do...

1. Call the police, ALWAYS. If the other person is at fault and driving w/o a license &/or proof of insurance the cop is REQUIRED to arrest the person and take them to jail (after all they are breaking the law). This also eliminates the possibility of having someone claim that the car was stolen.

2. Secondly, you should request that the car's license plate be removed from the vehicle.

If the person does show a valid license and a valid insurance card you MUST DO THE FOLLOWING...

1. CALL THE POLICE (if you're not at fault).

2. Request that the police officer give you the copy of the of the accident report FIRST. After the cop gives you the accident report he/she can go write the ticket/citation for the driver who was at-fault. Then immediately call, from your cell phone, the other persons insurance company (you'll get this information off of the accident report). Verify that they have CURRENT insurance on the spot. Many people will pay the first months payment on their auto insurance policy, then pay nothing the next month, but they'll have an insurance card that states they have a 6 month or 1-year policy which appears to be current. If the person has valid insurance report the claim on the spot. If the person does NOT have valid insurance IMMEDIATELY let the police officer speak w/ their "alleged insurance agent" on your cell phone. Tell the officer that you can prove that the person is breaking the law by not having valid insurance. DEMAND that the cop listen to the insurance agent because you will be out your deductable when the JERK who caused the accident doesn't have an insurance company to pay your deductable.

At this point you must demand that the police officer ticket the person for the following; causing the accident, driving w/o valid insurance, and then you must DEMAND that the cop removes the license plate from the vehicle and impound the plate and JAIL the driver who caused you to potentially loose your $1000 deductable. After all, JAIL is for people who break the law (even if they only go to jail for 12 hours, this will look real good for your small claims court appearance later...keep reading...)

Now you have the persons ID from the accident report, the date and time they were taken to jail, the county the accident occured in (and thus the county jail they went to) and you'll need to get the public records of that persons arrest. You now have all the makings for a GREAT small claims court case. For $1000 I'd make sure to go the small claims route. The judge probably will not even hear the case, just award you damages. If the person does not pay, a collection agency will go after them. Basically you'll be making their life so much heck that they'll pay you your $1000 just to make you leave them alone.

I know this can be read like I'm pouring salt in your open wound, but this has happened to me once and fortunately I will not let it happen again.

FYI, this is what I was told to do because I live in FLORIDA, your state laws might vary some, but it is free to check w/ your insurance company and request a step-by-step account of what you should do if this ever happens again.

Though we feel for you and your Coupe we can do without the stereotyping. There are minority members on this board that do have in insurance and a Coupe just like you.

my fiance's kid got into a verbal fight in school last year. both kids ended up using racial slurs. both kids are suspended and told they can't come back to school for two days, and then, only if their parents come to talk to the vice principal.

my fiance shows up to the office, taking time off work. the other kids parent doesn't show.

the other kid, who has been through this before (twice) is allowed back in school without the parent showing.

the vice principal who is the same race as the other parent just shruggs his shoulders.

I apologize one more time. But if this kind of stuff happened to you not once, but twice. Your full of s%!@^ if you say it doesn't make you feel like your being discriminated. What would you do if some asian person hit ur car and denied any wrong doing. Then another asian person hits your brand new car. If your brand new car hasn't been hit. dont say anything. because you have no idea what it feels like. and both denied any wrong doing. Also I was the one who was discriminated by the drivers and the officers.

How does getting in an accident twice with two different black women make you feel discriminated. The point is this thread started off BAD. If you want to share your experience about an accident you can say it without starting it with A "F-ing Black guy".

Now as for "Atleast we didn't say the N word"....I gotta say this. Its 2004...some things will never change. This forum is about our cars and shouldn't be washed down to comments like these that show what you really think about other people who aren't the same color as you are. You think A F-ing black guy is better to say than the N word. It's not and that's the point. Why say it at all. I grew up in Mississippi and you can't tell me anything I haven't heard before BUT why say it here where we're all the same color. G35Coupe color.

 

Yes...getting back to the topic. Great Post Nef! I'm gonna print out a copy and keep it in my car! I used to feel bad doing it but everytime something happens I ALWAYS call a cop. You never know when the @$$hole will turn around and say it wasn't his fault after the fact.

I've even gone so far as to keeping a disposable camera in my car. You never know when you'll need it. If I ever get into an accident (especially in my G, let's hope it never happens) I'll will be snapping away like a madman. It's all about documentation nowadays.

hey JREED. I didn't say I felt discriminated because I got hit by two black ladies. I said (or at least I meant) I felt discrminated, because I called the police both times. And both times they didn't even let me explain what happened. All they did was say that it is a minor damage so I should pay for it myself. Actually the second time, the police said he was going to lay me out (knock me out).

Im glad im getting support from the forum and hoping that everything goes my way. However some of you guys who jump up and down because i said "F this person" do no realize how much i value this car. I work hard, and save hard only to get this car and i enjoy it every much. I dont know how much you like your car but i indeed love mine. I cant stop talking about it. Do you guys give your car washs every week along with a wax and inside deatiling w/ leather conditioner and cleaner? How about tire shine? Or even oil changes frequently? Do you guy scream at your GF or anyone else who eats in the car? I can bet if the same thing happened to you would you have said the same thing. Weather you say it in your head or actually out the mouth you will did it. So please, feel my side of the story before getting all jumpy over words.
