How to pull off a really good 0-60 time?

i tried a few 0-60 runs a few days ago with a friend of mine since all the snow around us has melted. Well my friend timed my 0-60 to be a 7.9 and 7.8 . before i could i start dissing my tag( which was the offical timer for the runs). i realised that wait im around 130lbs my friend is around 260 or so and not forgetting the 2 boxes of Voss water in the back which would be around 25 lbs. thats would be a total of 415 lbs. would that make so much of a differnce on my timing thou.

I must admit in not a pro when it comes to shifting but i did feel like i did a good run. i was wondering if some could give me tips on what i do to better my timing..

..getting a thin fella to be my timer or maybe a G-timer and taking those voss bottles out did cross my mind. but besides that what else??

i weigh 205, and my roommate weighs 220. i got a 5.61 with him and i in my G Coupe. this is on the gtech pro, however. there is a lot of room for error with a stopwatch.

Do your runs with only 1/4 tank of gas or less....it will cut down some on the extra weight as well as your water....damn take out your mats if you feel it will help!!!! : ) 2old4this
