RocketRoss, I have never heard of Lexshield. Do you have any pictures and any yellowing effect on the IP coupe so far? Who installed it and how much may I ask. Thanks

The orange peel texture is inherant to the 3m film. This texture has nothing to do with the installation or kit. From what I've seen, Venture and Llumar definitely has the clearer films with less orange peel.

Slight orange peel effect with my 3M. I found it was better after a week or two after heat or sun sucked it down more. Overall it's very clean and most people do not notice it even from 5 feet away unless I point it out.
Very good investment.

Love my 3M C/B, and not much orange peel.

I had my bra installed at the dealer for abou 800 and It turned out really good no peal effect, unless seen with polarized sunglasses you would not even know it's on there only at the edges, which alot of people thought it was a deep scratch until I told them it was a clear bra. Other than that been very happy and to date no chips or dings.

I agree with gdriven. The orange peel texture on the 3m film doesn't have anything to do with polarized glasses. It is the wavy texture on the film, simliar to what is on a orange peel, hence the term "orange peel". Even OE paint has orange peel texture on it. After reading this thread, I compared my friend's 3m bra with the Venture bra that I have on now, and we both agreed that the Venture bra is hands down clearer.

I am quite happy with all aspects of my Avery clear-bra, but I do think clear-bras look substantially different depending on the color of the car. I understand silvers, grays, and black are the best colors to install on because the film is less noticable. I've never seen a clear-bra installed on a red car, so I can't comment on how it looks. Another thing you may want to consider is the psychological effect the bra has on you. Now that you know it's there you probably look more closely to see if you can see it. You are looking for it. Whereas a normal bystander will have no idea it's there unless it is pointed out to him/her. The only time I don't like my bra is when wax gets stuck along the ridges. But I usually can get it all out with a toothbrush. Give yourself a few weeks to get used to having it, plus wax it a few times. After awhile you won't even know it's there.
