Best price for Fujitsubo Exhaust?
Re: Best price for Fujitsubo Exhaust?
group buy does not have a set date. brandon is waiting for five people.
he told me even if 5 people didn't sign up, he would make the order. maybe charge an extra $20. i'll be calling him next week to find out where we are at. I am as anxious as everyone here to get this thing so I can install it.
if you are waiting for any other reason except for lack of cash, then you might miss out.
i'm oly guessing. if you want specific answers, give them a call.
good luck

Re: Best price for Fujitsubo Exhaust?
I will take that last slot if anyone can tell me is the Fuji worth the discount over the Stillen? I have been debating on an exhaust for a while and dont want to spend $1100 on the Stillen but will if it is worth the difference. What do you think?
Re: Best price for Fujitsubo Exhaust?
The Stillen is one of the best and true dual can exhaust systems. If you're looking for a dual setup, you can't go wrong with the Stillen! The only drawback is that its pricey! If you're looking for a setup similar to stock in that its a single pipe to rear design vs a dual setup, the Fujitsubo system wins hands down! From fit and finish to down right rock solid performance gains with no hype! You'll also experience NO loss in low to mid end power like you do with other systems, and its one of the few systems that's showed gains on a dyno from as little as 3K RPM! Others begin to pump out power at or above the 5K RPM mark, and are rumored to loose low end torque. Bottom line, at under $750 SHIPPED! You can't go wrong with the Fuji systems! Don't let this chance pass you by! GET IT! You wont regret it!

Re: Best price for Fujitsubo Exhaust?
it comes with the mid-pipe and the muffler. the y-pipe is a separate piece.
so it's not a complete cat-back exhaust system.
hope that answers your questions.
Nick, i thought you were getty the Greddy SP2 exhaust?
oh, and to give credit where credit is due, it was DUCATIGUY's post that pushed me over the edge. great shots of the tips from the rear, and more importantly, great sound clips.
i was ready to buy before i saw the group buy, hoping to have it installed for the NorCal and SoCal meets coming up. I guess saving over $100 is worth the wait. gonna spend that $100 bucks on some wheels

Re: Best price for Fujitsubo Exhaust?
vinh,
i am still deciding on what to get! so many decisions. it seems, from the posts that i've read, that the greatest restrictions in the stock exhaust are the y-pipe and muffler. if that's the case, this system may not be the best for me. i may jus' get the muffler and kinetix cats. then, i want to see if getting the y-pipe is really worth it. but i would like to hear some sound clips, any links?

Re: Best price for Fujitsubo Exhaust?
Here's one as a reminders and for those who haven't really seen the system installed. . .

Once again the fit and finish is near perfect! Everything lined right up! The polished finish on the can is mirror like. The tips fill in the stock rear valance quite well and give the rear a more aggressive look.
A few notes that everyone who'll be picking up the Fuji system should know about.
A - The install is VERY easy and almost anyone with basic hand tool, a jack and or stands / ramps, can get it done, but if you're one of those few who need instructions, you may want to seek professional help with the install, as the instructions included with the Fuji system is in Japanese. Now if you can read that, you're good to go, but if you can't, don't look for any sort of diagram to help you out either. Pay the $50-$75 to get it installed and don't worry about it.
B - Second topic of issue is the sound or shall I say exhaust note. Upon initial installation, DO NOT be surprised if the sound of the systems seems tame or even lower than stock. This will NOT last long! The system will open up significantly within the next 100 or so miles. This is 100% NORMAL as you'll be in a sense "breaking it in."
C - All but straight through (un packed) systems require some sort of break in time to develop the low mean sound. This is due to the mufflers packing material which will need some time to settle and form into place. This is also why you may notice what will look like small fiberglass like flakes that may develop on your bumper. Once again this is perfectly NORMAL! It washes away and will not harm the finish of your bumper!
I'm just telling you all this so no one freaks out when they get their system installed and wonder why it doesn't sound like mine or what that stuff coming out the tips is. In time and a few hundred miles or so, the sound will mellow out and become more uniform. I've gotten MANY e-mail from fellow Fujitsubo owners who wonder why my system doesn't sound like there's, and if I ordered some special model or something. So once again I assure you, it will with a little time and everyday use!
For all who have jumped on the Gruppe-S group buy - Congrats! You've made an excellent choice and believe me, you will be happy with your purchase!
As for shipping to Hawaii, Gruppe-S may charge you a bit more, as the box the systems come in weighs like 50 lbs and measures (if I remember correctly) something like 70" x 20" x 30"! Its a big mother!

Re: Best price for Fujitsubo Exhaust?
Ducatiguy,
Thanks for the input on the Fujitsubo system. I'm a believer! I'll be calling Brandon on Monday ordering my new catback system. I've been torn between the Fujitsubo and the Injen SES, but the way the Fujitsubo fills out the tail section put me over the edge. I figure by your screen name "Ducatiguy" you've probably done your homework on the sound this system. The sound clips are fantastic. Thanks for your help and valuable insight.
