Does anyone know where i can find the best price for Fujitsubo Exhaust? and if owners any comments about it?

Several online retailers sell the Fujitsubo Legalis-R exhaust system for the G35 Coupe. I have seen it advertised anywhere from $825 to well over $900 with and without shipping. The questions you want to ask when purchasing one is do they really have the system in stock? If not it may take anywhere from 2 to 3+ week for them to get it from Japan and then another week or so to get it to you.

Second, find out if they're includding shipping, as the box that it comes in is HUGE! Although I'm no expert on shipping charges and stuff like, from past shipments I have made and recieved such a package would cost at the least $50-$60 for shipping, no question about that.

So you have to shop around and take into consideration the cheaper price that doesnt include shipping, may not be the best price compared to a slightly higher one that does include shipping.

I for one purchased my system from Gruppe-S (one of the sponsors of this forum) for $850 with shipping. They had the system in stock, and got it out to me in about a week via FedEx ground. No problems what so ever. Others have reported they've purchased their systems for a tad bit less ($820ish), but had to wait the 3-4 weeks to get it from Japan...

Another thing to be weary of is that certian retailers will say everything and anything to make a sale. They'll tell you things that aren't true, fib, and plain out put down another retailer if they feel threaten that they may loose a sale to you. You simply have to use your gut when it comes to situations like this. Research the retailer on this and other forums, ask people who have ordered from them, and dont be afraid to call and ask such questions directly to the retailer.

try gruppe-s. They are running a group buy on this. It's $745 shipped. There is a thread on this in my350z.com under the vendor forum. They need 5 participants and it's a 4-6 week wait. If you're not in a hurry, it's one helluva deal. I might have to pull the trigger on this one myself.

Al and I sent some info back and forth last night. Taking his recommendation I called Gruppe and spoke with a person there who quoted me $850.00 for the Fujitsubo Exhaust (including shipping) to go on the G35 Coupe. When I mentioned the group buy (which I clearly read on my 350Z.com thanks to al503) he said it only was for the 350Z and not our cars. I decided to only get the Random Technology High Flow Cats from Performance Nissan ($500.00 + shipping) and the JIC Y-Pipe ($420 incl. shipping) from Avalon Racing, (603-425-2270). The exhaust can wait for now.

If anyone wants to call to see if the $745 price (incl. shipping) is real or not call 510-498-8400. If they tell you it's the real deal, please post back on this thread and let me know. I'll keep my eyes on this thread in the mean time...

hey neff. Changing the cats and the y-pipe are going to be the best bang for the buck in terms of power. Jason@performance says that the rest of the exhaust, mid pipe back, probably won't boost any power but is more for sound and might shave a few pounds.

Bearing in mind Ducatiguy's warning about the size of the box, I ordered mine (including a y-tube) from Bulletproof Automotive, in LA. It will be shipped to them, and they will install it. But the wait is about six weeks.

How much are they charging you for installation at Bulletproof??? Just wondering....

 

You should check out hopup.racing.com, intensemotorsports.com. The install should be pretty easy for most shops since it fits perfectly, an hour of labor for them. So, look for anywhere from $60 to $70. Anymore than that would not be reasonable.

yes...i am local and jumped in on the group buy.

the price ends up being the same since they need to charge sales tax. After taxes, it turns out to be $747 and change for local pick-up. If you really, really want it, call them up and let them know Vinh sent you. Maybe we can get a couple more bucks off since we are doing a "local group buy".

c'mon guys. some of you were thinking about buying it back when it was $835 shipped. some guy even said he would definitely buy it if it was below $800 shipped. Well, it is well below $800. Get your *** off the chair and grab that credit card. $745 shipped or $747 picked-up is a GREAT PRICE.
