Should I take this to the dealer?(pics)

I noticed some rust building up on the drivers side door. Do you think I should take this to the dealer and see if they will fix it under the corrosion warranty? My car is still under warranty.

I dunno, that looks like a ton of excessive rubbing and scrapping that on stuff. If you havent rubbed it or hit your door on a wall then YES, they will repair it.

Yes ABSOLUTELY

All Nissan's and Infiniti's have 7 years/unlimited mileage rust warranty. Go to any dealer. But make sure it was not due to something you did specifically or neglected that caused the paint to get scratched and then rust developed. e.g. you got a paint chip because of a rock and you didn't get it fixed and then rust developed.

Other that that....you are absolutely covered within 7 years and they will repaint your entire car if they have to for FREE.

Wont hurt to try. However it does look like the paint was chipped off by neglect causing rust. If they do not fix it; just clean it up and get some touch up paint. Put several light coats on and then sand the excess off with some "VERY" fine sandpaper while dipping the paper in soapy water to lube, then compound the area, wax and if you take your time it should come out well especially on a black car. I did this on my prior black car & if you are able to get the touch up paint smooth with the finish paint you will hardly tell. Good Luck.

I had some spots on my trunk just like that, dealer said that warranty does not cover rust spots, that it has to be like major rust corrosion...you can try though

If it was rusting from under the paint yes. However, you can see that the paint had been chipped away from hitting objects. You can try anyway.....maybe they will do some good will. Good luck.

Exactly, the marks on your car definitely look like it was caused from scrapes or chipped paint. They will only fix it if there are perforations coming from the inside out. They will not fix rust spots caused from surface chipping.

Agreed w/ the above - try, but don't expect anything.

FYI, because of the SH1TTY *** paint on my G35 and dad's Q45, I will NEVER, NEVER, own another nissan/inifiti again. They use the most horrible paint that chips (and later rusts) like crazy.

they will probably deny it. I asked about rust that formed over a rock chip and they said no.
