Will my dealer do something like that? I am through my breakin period and i followed it, so i would like to get my ECU reset and if they can do it.. id rather have them do it than me..

 

I'm sure they would be glad to accomodate you...however, they may charge you for that service....

Do a search in these forums for ECU resetting....it doesn't seem that hard to do <font color=blue>2old4this</font color=blue>

gr8t is right. Do it yourself... just unplug the negative terminal of your battery for maybe 12 hours+. Another method is the pedal way. Info can be found at http://www.technosquareinc.com/350reset.htm

 

ive tried the pedal procedure a million times and i still no difference....am i doin sumthin wrong?

 

My battery was disconnected for over 12 hours (another way of reseting the ECU) recently and I didn't see a difference either.

Perhaps the reseting of the ECU is just another folk tale.

It takes practice to get the pedal method down...but once you see the SES blink...you know youve done it!..and hell yes it makes a difference...for you guys who dont see a difference....really pay attention to the tach when your hauling ***.....the shifts are like they were straight from the factory....i find its easier to pop in a cd....lower volume..and just watch the seconds on the stereo and use that for the timing......because the timing is very improtant..
