Back on 2/17 I posted a response to a Fresh Alloy forum member that was telling us about his quarter-size door ding.

I don't know about you, but door dings are a pet peeve of mine and the parking lot where I work doesn't separate employee parking from visitor parking. As a result, I sustained 3 door dings on my BMW in the past 3 years. So, when I finally received my G35 Coupe 3 weeks ago, I started to do research to either find a product or make a product that would work. I got lucky and found a company in California called DINGdefenders. You can see their website at www.dingdefender.com (I have nothing to do with this company) They provide a product that is soft on the cars surface yet strong strong enough (magnetized) to adhere to the car, where you want it, to prevent the inevitable ding. I received mine last week and it lives up to its claim. Easy to put on and take off and it gave me peace of mind.

I just wanted to pass this on to my fellow forum members who hate dings as much as I do.

actually G35, having just discovered my first door ding THIS very morning ( on the fender crease) and then blowing a mental fuse, this product might be an idea.
Of course there would be no hope in protecting my fender with this but maybe they could make a kit to cover the entire car !!??
To quote other members " you just can't have anything nice anymore". Too bad we're surrounded by inconsiderate m'f'ers !
