Help! G35 Decision...
Help! G35 Decision...
Hi everyone!
I am seriously thinking about ordering a G35 6MT Coupe in Desert Platinum or Diamond Graphite, w/ graphite int./prem package. I currently drive an 00' Nissan Maxima SE 5-speed and besides the G35 Coupe, I am also considering the G35 6MT Sedan or the 04' Nissan Maxima SE 6MT (G35 Coupe is my first choice).
Does anyone know of any Infiniti dealerships in the South Florida or Delaware area where I can get a coupe for less than MSRP or even a reasonable lease, I was quoted $525. Help!!! Any suggestions?

Re: Help! G35 Decision...
$525.00 could be a good/great $ amount. Depends on the price of the G, term, down payments, etc. Take a 38,000 coupe for 24 months and 0 down 525 would be a great lease (unthinkable but great) ... 48 months with 3000 down that payment would be high for a base coupe.
I guess what I am trying to say is that I do not have enough information regarding the lease payment.

Re: Help! G35 Decision...
You'd be paying 27K (not including tax) to rent a car for four years.
If you financed at a longer term(, I'm sure that after 4 years you would have at least a little bit of equity.
For example.....35K for the car, 6.5% tax (don't know where your live) and 2K down....6 year loan, payment is 585(tax is already included). After 4 years you would have 14K left in payments (probably about a 11-12K payoff. So, a four year old G35 with ~60K miles will certainly be worth a little bit more than that.
I all for leases, but they generally start working in favor of the finance company if they go over 3 years.
Oh, and I'm sure that lease payment they quoted didn't include sales tax (calculated monthly on the lease payment, not on the sale price of the car) so that would bump the lease payment up to ~$560.
So, $560 lease vs. $580 own.
I'd buy it.
It's also easier to sell a car than it is to get out of a lease, and you're insurance can sometimes be cheaper too.
