Definitely the supercharger. Motorcycles are death traps especially with the way people drive these days.

Re: Vortec SC or Motorcycle?!?!?!?!?

I just sold my CBR929RR because I hardly rode it after I got my G! Well, Ive been riding a LONG time and frankly, it is a lot of fun and a great escape, but I feel like I was due or something. In about 22 years of riding on the streets I have never had a mishap. No laydowns, no crashes, nada. Many close calls though. So I do feel like I am lucky. Remember, even if you're and incridibly responsible rider, often times its something beyond your control that can end it all. I have no regrets for selling my bike, but wish you the best should you decide to go that route.

well i had a GSX-R 1000 and it was a blast. you just have to remember that insurance on some bikes are very expensive. i don't even miss my bike now. i sold it last jan. i plan on getting a sc in the next few months and if dw comes out to be as good as they say than it will be that one. good luck on what ever you choose.

I went from bike to G after two of my friends crashed, and one died...i was the lucky one. i had a 2001 yamaha R1, and there is nothing that can match the performance of a bike. everything feels slow to me now. i would go with the supercharger, because it is certainly safer. i rode on the streets for two years, and converted to the track for one year (Willow springs motorcycle club), and never had a close call. you have to remember to ride within your limits. unfortunately somtimes you can't, and that's why they call it an accident. best of luck to you either way.

Re: Vortec SC or Motorcycle?!?!?!?!?

yes bike aree dangerous...

especiaally whenyou're 19 years old, dont know how to ride, are drunk, dont wear safety gear (squid) and you insist on not wearing a helmet or wearing it perched on top of your head, or you want a 120HP bike as your 1st bike and you cant ride. If this sounds like you...get the s/c.

If you're a responsible rider and take m/cing seriously (take the msf course!) DEF GET THE BIKE.

I had a vfr750, then a hayabusa - the busas engine exploded at 150mph on me - so I got out of bikes for awhile. Of course I lived in jersey then. Now i'm in san diego - i cant wait to get nother one. Bikes are so much more ridiculously fast, and entertaining than cars. Granted my z has kept me happy for 2 years almost but still- nothing like being IN the elements. Its been 81+ degrees in san diego the last two days...damn I need a bike!

Also, in general, you should do major warrantee crushing mods like this *after* your warrantee is up not while your car is still new.

Re: Vortec SC or Motorcycle?!?!?!?!?

The SC is good for race but in the everyday driving, how many times do you race? Me, almost never. The only people that want a piece of me have faster car than mine (WRX sti, Mustang Cobra, etc.). So the few times I gave a lesson to a Civic, I end to ask myself what the f... am I doing?

Don't get me wrong, I like to drive my car hard but I don't think the extra power will give me enough fun to justify the money expense.

On the other hand, nothing beats the feeling of driving a bike. I don't have a sport bike but even on a custom, I get more driving satisfaction on my bike than on the G. Go get the bike.

Good luck buying a bike during Summer. Everyone increases their prices because they are so in demand. I would get the bike in April, then the SC. If anything, SC prices will drop within time. Also, by waiting on a SC, you can get more feedback from people who have a SC slapped on already.

Just my .02

I dunno.. bikes are really dangerous. I can't even count the people I have known that were hurt on a bike. My uncle was just hurt 2 weeks ago. He was driving a bike and got hit by a drunk driver. He has to have a lead rod in his leg for the rest of his life.

Thanks - Joey Avino

Re: Vortec SC or Motorcycle?!?!?!?!?

My friend will wait to sell me his 98 Kawi 600 RR with 5500 miles on it for 2,500.. Its mint also never droped cover in a garage at all times. So im not to worried about the price increase. I picked the SC cause im insanly into my G35 for the past 2-3 months!!! Since I never had I bike I dont know what im missing yet.. So I did a lil finance work after lunch and the bike will be bought in June.. So its not a big deal at to wait a month or 2.. It was a hard descion but then I tell myself good things happen to those who wait...

Re: Vortec SC or Motorcycle?!?!?!?!?

I know that statistically, motorcycles are deadlier than car. But I wonder what are the statistics about motorcycles vs sports car like a G35 supercharged. Someone got number? I just curious to see if bikes are so dangerous or if it's the speed that is the killer.

"He has to have a lead rod in his leg for the rest of his life."

Lead rod!!!??? Might as well arrange the funeral now. The lead rod in his body will kill him. I'm inclined to think that you meant steel rod.

As for the SC vs Motorcycle debate. I'd personally go with the motorcycle. Make sure it's fast, sexy, and get a extra helmet for the chica caliente that wants a ride.

After you get the bike, lay it down nice and soft, put your lips to the ground, and kiss the American soil you live on.

Most humans have much harder choices to make.
