Z-tube/PopCharge Install
Z-tube/PopCharge Install
My question is...who in SoCal can do a professional install of this mod. Ive read the DIY guides, and though they seem very thourough, I dont have the nuts to do it myself. Can someone just recommend a shop or someone who has lots of experience installing this so my mind will be at ease. Thanx

It's really not that hard to do. DIY shows all you need. Where in scal are you?

Re: Z-tube/PopCharge Install
Im in L.A. Specifically the Santa Clarita area, but often travel down to the burbank and glendale area. I know that the install is probably easy, but im just more comfortable with having someone who knows what theyre doing or have done it before.

I'm in SoCal and will be doing the upgrade today. I'm assuming it will be easy and I'll just do it myself. If all goes well, I'll be happy to do your for you.

Re: Z-tube/PopCharge Install
Yeah, it is very very easy. Should take less than an hour to do one.

Re: Z-tube/PopCharge Install
I put mine in last nihgt. It took about an hour and a half, but we were goofing off and not really watching our time.
it's an incredible mod for the price. Mooo, I'll be glad to help you put one in. As a matter of fact, if we do it, I'd like to film it for this site and for my own.

Re: Z-tube/PopCharge Install
hey guys about these mods.....will they void the warranty anyway? i wouldnt want to go to the dealer with a problem then he will say he cant touch it since it was modified....if the warranty problem will be ok are there any other mods that will also not void any warranty? thanks

Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act. Simply uttering that phrase can often change their tone, as it lets them know you know your rights, and they can't pull the wool over your eyes. The warranty is only void if they can prove the modification caused the problem.
And use a little logic.. if your seat is wobbling, an intake isn't going to have a thing to do with it. If you still have hassles, find a different dealer. Call Infiniti Consumer Affairs.
Dealers generally don't worry about intake/exhaust stuff anyway, because it's not hard on the engine. Things like turbo/supercharger setups would give you more issues with your dealer, as an improperly setup system can cause quite a bit of engine trouble.
Also, note that the parts you swap out won't be under the Infiniti warranty. (That should be obvious.) If you put in a cat-back exhaust system and the muffler blows a hole in itself or something, Infiniti doesn't have to warranty it, because it's not the muffler they sold you the car with. You'd have to go through whomever you bought the exhaust system from in that case.
