Insurance gave me $600 for a new bumper plus labor..minus my deductible of course (still waiting on the police report). Ive never like the bumper on the G and love some of the ones on the body kits. What should I do with my $600? and my deductible money thereafter ($500)?

I never call ins co unless I absolutely must. When people whack me I just deal with thier co (provided they have one)

Why is that? Unless you are with some hobag insurance carrier, rates are not raised for claims under comprehensive or collision.

total damages are $1200. I have full coverage so the insurance company does the investigating for me and goes after the other guys insurance company. It was a hit and run so it takes a little longer for everything to be said and done.....so the insurance company cut me a check minus my deductible for now.

The appraiser told me that most likely there were going to be supplements on my total damage.

The police have the police report but need another copy of my accident report (they "never got the first one") so they can release it. The guy was busted, I posted the story about it on here about a month ago.

I'd rather pay $500 + $125 surcharge over the next 5 years than pay $1200 out of pocket (possibly more with supplements). And anyways I expect this to be resolved and get my deductible back in full and no surcharge siince the police report has the other guy pinned. wheewwww long post.

And also...its the rear bumper. though that nismo is hot.

The impul bumper is 1,700, I don't think he will be getting far with his 600. I would get it repaired (if you can) and use the remaining 300 to buy a nice pair of shoes.
