i see no reason for a new flywheel but an aftermarket would be cheaper so you'd prolly wanna grab a jwt lightweight flywheel for about $400;
~so spend about a $1500 and you'll have a brand new car, instead of speding money on buying a different car that will have similar issues at some point.
i just don't want to have to keep paying for brakes/clutch every 16,000 miles. if these issues are fixed in 05-07, id rather just upgrade.

I have an 03 6MT with about 35,000 miles and my rotors have never been turned/replaced, still the same ones since day 1. I did upgraded the pads from stock to Hawk pads about 10,000 miles ago and they still show no signs of wear yet.. It is also the same clutch/flywheel that has been in there since day 1. I had the tranny replaced under warranty about 10,000 miles ago, but the clutch/flywheel were in great condition. Maybe you just had some bad luck and got some faulty parts or were just a little to rough on them.. I would really consider fixing them though than having to go though the whole process again with another car; cuz if your gonna buy a newer but still used car, you have no idea how the previous owner treated it and things will still eventually need to be replaced. But I guess thats something you'll have to figure out.. So whatever you do good luck and I hope everything works out.

thanks for the advice. i was actually going to get a new, left over 07 from the dealership, if there are deals to be had. usually, when a new model comes in they will sell the older left over models for below invoice.
