Missing my Coupe :-(
Missing my Coupe :-(
I have my coupe at the dealer getting it's first oil change, and a new rearseat latch installed (the original one was permanently latched and the parts been on backorder since then). I am also and getting the paint fixed that was screwed up removing a hairline scratch from delivery.
Anyway, I had my service guy make sure he brought me a G35 sedan for my loaner (I really don't care for the I35 - feels to boaty). I have been driving the sedan for 2 days now and while it is a "fun" car and a is a better sedan than the G20t I had before, it is no coupe! It is taller, a little slower, and just doesn't leave me with the same feeling of happiness. No offense to the sedan drivers (your cars are very nice too), but I really want my coupe back now! It is such a great car
It has been raining a lot in Houston and my new favorite thing to do on the way home from work is to test just how much wet performance I can get before the VDC kicks in. I am working off "feel" here, but I feel like the coupe has a lot more traction and as a result the VDC seems less constrictive (these 2 both have the same 17" wheels and tires).
I have had my CB coupe since November 9th, and it still gives me the same feeling to look at that I had when I saw the press release. When I drive it, I feel even better about my decision to get this car. If anyone out there is on the fence; get off, get the coupe, logout and go for a long drive. You won't regret it!!
BTW - After you break it in (or skip that) and really start to play with it, most of you won't be worried about turbos, superchargers, or other hop ups. Unless you are really going to race for $$, you won't be underwhelmed.
Drive smart, check you mirrors frequently!! (Sorry for sounding like your mom, but I ride motorcycles too when it's sunny and you wouldn't believe how many people don't . . .)
