The rattles are so bad in my car that at times I just want to sell the car.

+1 Rattles have always been a favorite thread on all the G35 forums. If you do a search on rattles you will have enough reading material to keep you busy indefinitely. Bottom line is this..... nobody wants to own a car that rattles constantly. There is no fix for this condition as the car rattles everywhere and once a few rattles are fixed, new ones appear. I have resigned to the fact that I will no longer ask the dealership to fix them and I personally am just waiting for the right moment to get rid of my car. It's too bad, as it a great looking car, but there is no turning back for me.

What does this say about the quality control and workmanship of our cars? It's very sad...

most of the time these rattles are easy to take care of... you would be surprised at how easy it is to tear a lot of the panels apart.

I remember seeing a thread ( possibly on this forum) that showed a detailed disassembly of almost the entire G35 interior from front to trunk area with replacement of insulation and felt wherever feasable. It looked like a restoration job with everthing being removed. How many owners will be willing to do this anyway? The fit and finish on our cars is inherently crappy and there is not a whole lot that can be done. Thank God here in Florida the roads are smooth and I still have more rattles than I can count......... with new ones everyday.

When I first bought my car used, it had rattles everywhere. Mirror, center console, glove box, AC vents, everything.

I took most of it apart, and put camper liner foam tape everywhere where plastic meets up with plastic. Everytime I took something apart in the interior, I added more of the foam tape. I installed a PAC AAi-Nis2 recently, so same thing. Foam tape everywhere.

Car's nearly silent on the road. Once in a while I'll get a little click here in there from the roof lining if I go on fairly rough road. You can buy that camper tape at Autozone/pep boys for about $10. I've gone through about 3 rolls of that stuff.
