that is wierd, because I am approaching to 60k and I still got a lot of life on the clutch. I have had over 50 1/4 mile passes and over 100 street passed not to mentioned burned the clutch two times on the hills when i just got the car.

just messin with you bro. Don't feel bad, just make the best of your automatic. I had my first 02 maxima in autotragic and it was a damn 4 speed. at least you get 5 in the G

I personally like the 6MT better but AT can be cool too. Suggestion would be to add a performance valve body (like a shift kit), Stillen has one but i know there must be others. I put a shift kit in the Silverado and it made it much more fun to drive.

Anyone on here with a performance valve body please speak up.

I love my 6MT. However, at times, a 5AT would be nice. Mainly when there is tons of stop and go traffic.

I've also owned an 90 Acura Integra GS which lasted me up to 252K Miles and had to give her up because it cost more to replace the AC system vs the value of the car. That too was modified and I've never had any problems with either axle, clutch, tranny...transmission was still very good at 252K never been replaced just like my G now..no problems. It's how you drive and maintain your car that will determine how long it will last....my 2 cents.
Same here, had my teg since my early college years and it lasted over 200k miles with no major problems at all. Just did those typical maintenance and timingbelt changes and it ran for a long time. Sold it for about 7k (pretty good for a car with 200k right) and bought a G.

Sadly, I don't think the G would last as long. The teg had power everything and the window motor, sunroof, etc etc. never failed.

I have an 03 6MT and I got 82,000 miles out of my original clutch. I just recently replaced it. It was still ok, only slight slipping, but I figured while I had the money I might as well replace it. THe new clutch is awesome too!! And the 6MT vs. the 5AT...well there is no comparison. I hate the Infiniti 5AT loaner cars, they are so boring to drive. 6MT is the only way for a G.
