Re: Your opinion on crawford plemum!!

IMO, it's an awesome product. The best bang for the buck out there. The flat spot above 4.5K RPM is gone, and the car now pulls strongly right up to redline. The plenum along with the "Z" tube are a must have for any "G" owner interested in performance. The Crawford has no quality issues, installation is a breeze, and I can't recommend it highly enough.

Re: Your opinion on crawford plemum!!

I have done a ton of research on this subject because I myself am getting one real soon for a spring gift... I have the "Z" Tube and JWT PC already installed...

Lou your car looks great dude and I will be emulating your engine cover for sure it looks really good! Might PM you on a little advise on how you exactly did it... super cool..

I am not quite sure if I will go with the Crawford V5 or the Kinetix.. Both are a good product with fairly equal performance and each customer seems to be happy with his/hers performance and customer service... so it comes down to the little things,, plenum return, visual appeal, and of course $... But It appears to be the "Best Bang for your Buck" for sure... I can't wait till the coin hits the ground for me to choose mine..lol

Like my Crawford, and it has very noticeable performance difference. IMO, a must have.

is there any feeling of a loss in low end power? Thats what turns me off from modding...the thought of gaining a few high end ponies and losing low end grunt.

Hey low rider was it necessary to cut out the top portion of the origional plenum cover..I saw on this web www.g-owners.com a plenum install w/o any cutting...is it because it was the sedan???

I guess I should have said forced induction. That is a Z and it was running about a 200 shot of nitrous!

being a "mechanically challegend" G owner, just how difficult is it to install?? can someone give the basic idea of what's involved (not step by step)?

Mr. shark

It's not necessary to cut the cover. I ran my older Crawford without the cover cut. However, it does not sit flat, like it does on the stock plenum. It also reatains heat, which is not a good thing with intake air. However, IMO, the new Crawford is so attractive, it deserves to be exposed. So I cut the cover. I like the look.

Lou
