New guy needs a car.

Hello, I would like to get some expert advice before I visit the dealership this weekend.
Here is the vehicle I'm about to purchase as my future daily driver to work (40 miles daily).
My previous car was a 2002 S2000. The car didn't survive the accident, but I did. The insurance claim amount to be around $18k, that's why I wish to spend within the price range.
There's also a 2005 coupe 6MT
Input on that one also much appreciated.
Thank you for reading.

shell out the extra dough and get the 05.. it'll last you longer and hopefully less repairs down the road

yeah, get the 2005. It'll be worth the extra bucks down the road.

Thanks for all the input. That helps me to narrow down my search to 2005 G35 Coupe.
But it seems that to fit that search into my budget, I will have to sacrifice for high mileage vehicle (upto 117k here in SoCal).
But I just want to drive my own car again, looking at the emepty driveway everyday (where my S2000 used to sit) is painful.

Be patient. I waited 3 - 4 months and found my 2005 coupe with 46k miles for only 19500. The economy is harsh and people are needing to sell things lately. There are alot of people under water out there financially so wait for one to come your way. It'll be worth it.

Yea, Sbeck is exactly right. Be patient. Do your homeowork for a few months if you can and you can find some steals.
