Black coupe I modded sorta
This is with 19" 5 Zigens .. all I did was lower it and tint it and tint the corner light.
So ... this is pretty much what it will look like exactly if done.

See, and I thought the purpose of lowering was to scrape the chassis on potholes and driveways. That Tennessee suspension treatment is much more practical. [img]/w3timages/icons/cool.gif[/img]

Wheels should be big enough to allow the fitting of tires with appropriate grip and profile, but they should be small enough to keep weight, especially rotational inertia, to a minimum.
Larger wheels, even light-weight wheels, will have a larger rotational inertia, and therefore will resist acceleration, but they also allow lower profile tires which can help handling.
You must try to find wheels that fit your needs and optimize your car for the purpose you intend. Use guides to be certain that the offset and overall diameter is maintained, at least for street cars where reliability and gauge accuracy are important.
