Leaky Trunk (FL)

Members, Just found out the hard way that my trunk leaks! Have seen some posts about that but the cause was believed to be from the installation of a rear spoiler. Well I do not have a rear spoiler so that throws that out. Anyway it is on the Left side. Have an appointment on Monday with my friendly Infiniti dealer (LOL.) Let you know what they find.

Probably weather stripping not installed correctly or the lid is misaligned.
Good luck at the dealership.

Re: Leaky Trunk (FL)

I have the same exact problem here in lovely South Florida. Also on the left side. Where do you hail from I'm in Boca. Let me know what they say, I need to take mine in soon, but it only seems to happen when it rains really hard which we're coming to season soon.

Thanks. Beavis

I'm up in Tampa. Tonight, I pulled out my carpet and placed some news paper on the left side; washed my car and poof; a nice big wet spot. Anyway give this a try to make sure about yours. The weather stripping seems to be ok; I think that it might have to do with how the hardware is mounted.

Yep, I checked the gaskets and they're fine. Hopefully I'll have time to go by the dealer and have them tell me what it is.

Thanks.
