Why did you buy a G35?
Re: Why did you buy a G35?
Age...52 going on 22
Sex M
Income...enough to support a family, a home, 2 infiniti's..oh you get the picture.....
favorite thing about the G....
Being an older avid fan of the G, many reasons come in to my mind...
The quality of the Infiniti brand products....well executed car..
overall performance/handling...acceleration makes me smile
styling..from many angles this car is simply mind blowing...
for me its like a favorite pair of jeans or comfortable shoes..
it just feels right...
most important....it definitely keeps me young....at least young at heart.....everytime I turn the key and the engine roars to life....that and the sweet low purr of the exhaust growls at me....I'll take the longest route to get to wherever i'm going.....
Best experience so far is just to own it, ,many people to this day stare at this car like it is the only one in existence....what more could you ask for?
all the pieces of ownership come together for a complete package that always leaves me quite content and elated!
2old4this...nah..... not in this life time......

Met some really cool people at meets. All ages, all income levels, all races.... with the car in common, we're all happy.

Yep, I am again thanking everyone that has participated so far.
I have gotten a total of 43 responses, as of right now. I was not sure anyone would respond at all, so I am ecstatic.
I could always use more, so anyone that has not yet responded...

Fan/enthusiast questions:
1. Age: 54
2. Sex: yes/frequently still
3. Income bracket/level: Variable...Remodeling Contractor
4. Why are you interested in the G35: Looks, performance
5. Are/would you considering buying one: Need the back seat for our dog.
We like the looks and performance capabilities of the G35Coupe. We need the back seat for our currently 10 month old White German Shepherd pup (weighs between 80 and 90 pounds) to ride in. She loves going for rides, but most of the cars in the sporty class are too small and lacking a back seat. We have tried the 350Z but there is not enough space in the rear for the dog to ride comfortably. We take her to car meets where the emphasis is on driving, we don't like parking lot cookout meets. Most of our car fanatic friends own S2000's but alas it is too small for our needs with the dog.

Ahh.. school projects. I remember those hehe (was only 2 yrs ago). Always willing to participate. Good luck with your project
G35 Owner Questions: (feel free to go into detail where applicable)
1. Age: 25
2. Sex: male
3. Income bracket/level: 60-70K
4. Reason behind selecting the G35: overall performance, looks, status, best "bang for the buck"
5. Something you would care to share about your G35 experience: I wanted a prestigious performance based car. Looked at BMW, Lexus, etc but kept coming back to the G. Was thinking the 350Z, but looked too boy racer and seemed it would go out of style. The G has class built on performance, and for me that's the best of both worlds. Questions/Comments/Suggestions for me or the project: Let us know how it turns out! :-)

Well, I have now recieved 50+ responses, with a few still trickling in here and there. I just wanted to say thanks again, to everyone, my project would be nowhere without this forum.

Re: Why did you buy a G35?
OK, I haven't yet. But here's my 2 cents.
I was in the need of buying a new car in 2002. Ever since I saw pics of the G35, before they went on sale, I felt the need to grab one. I did all of my homework on the G, and I knew everything about it. And 4 weeks after they hit the showrooms, I nabbed mine.
Now, vs. the 350Z. I liked the design of the G sooo much better. The lines on the Z are way too radical for me. I couldn't "hang" with the Z's rear taillights, the rear signal lights, the retarded radio antenna, not to mention the rear window wiper, and also those stinkin' door handles! Geez!
I know it's a preference thing, but that's just me. Oh, BTW, 43, Male, and a combined income of well over 6 digits.
