This isn't meant as an attack on your post but this rivalry is pretty silly. The exterior designs of the car are a matter of opinion. If these guys don't like the looks of our car so what? I don't see any reason to even respond and try to "defend" our cars. We know what we have and most of us are pretty happy with them.

Actually, I think the Z is a great looking car I just "prefer" the looks of the G, the G's interior, and the extra seating but I realize that my preferences are just that - my preferences.

Many of their comments sound like immature kids getting defensive. It sounds like "my Dad can whup your Dad" kind of a conversation.

This board isn't immune to this type of discussion either. A lot of posts I've read recently make M3 drivers sound the same way - arrogant. I'm sure there ARE plenty of arrogant drivers out there but, for the most part, many of the M3 and Z drivers I know are regular, ordinary car enthusiasts just like us.

Don't waste your time on the haters...

G35_TX i know how you feel, but it is very common for a group of people owning the same car in a car forum specificly for that car to diss Other cars (in this case, the 350z owners dissing/hating on the G35 Coupe)

it might be their insecurity on themselves or them being jealous of you G owners with the extra 2 seats and the trunk space But this happens a lot.

It's realli pointless to go on to another car's forum and check what they are saying and report to your own (G35 forum) and tell people "omg this guy just dissed our car." Just let it be

but with that said, that zeroday guy realli crossed the point with some of the very objective points he is making. like the person above me said, some people are just born without a brain...:\

 

Frankly I don't really give a sh*t what a couple of idiotic Z drivers think about the G. Anyone with half a brain recognizes the strengths of both cars and wouldn't even bother trying to compare the two. The Z is hands down more of a sports car while the G more of a luxury GT. It's all personal preference. Most Z drivers recognize this, but there will always be the not-so-bright ones that don't.

 

First of all....opinions are just that, opinions.....
If some one doesn't like the G coupe or sedan...so be it.
everything isn't for everybody...

It doesn't make sense to knock another type auto, in this case its practically the same car....

I'm guilty of flaming TL drivers in a thread...and after realized that not "every" TL owner should be blamed for the actions of one individual....that was pretty dumb on my part.....

anyway, I love the G and the infiniti product line....if this individual happens to preferr the Z, good for him...if he wants to take the time and effort to bash a similar product and their owners....his time, his energy...does it effect me? not in the least...I know what I got and I love it!
Let him come to ATCO and talk....I would be glad to explain the suttle differences of the two cars....<font color=blue>2old4this</font color=blue>

Wow, a lot of anger/hate to digest. Trying to be objective there was one point overlooked by that "group". I probably would have bought the Z if I didn't need a back seat for my 2 kids. However, I can mod the G to perform as well or better than the stock Z for only a small amount of money (under $3000 with suspension, intake, exhaust, sways, etc...). However, I CAN NOT modify the Z to add a back seat for my kids. For me the choice was clear. As for looks, that is way too objective. Just think... some people purchased the Aztec and I personally would not drive one if it was free. I'd rather spend the money on something that was more satisfying to me.

I used to have respect for that crowd... the illogical arguments and baseless, subjective rants that were shot out in that thread have pretty much squashed that to nil. Good job, Z guys.

As far as I can tell, most Z drivers are cool with our rides and show equal respect to ours, as we do their's.

yeah that is retarted, most of the stuff they are saying about are car is factualy wrong any way.. i am not going to waist my time reading all 5 pages of that crap. all that stuff about the G have more body roll is total crap i seem to recall car and driver giveing the G a higher skid pad number then the 350z... hmmm

o well i still like the Z even if the G is way cooler

No matter. When a girl looks at a G and a Z it's obviously no contest. She'll be eyeballing the G because the Z looks like a VW Beetle on steroids while the G has smooth contoured lines.

Also because a lot of girls have already told me they prefer the sexy style of the G over the VW looking Z >=)
