How did you pull that off? Many paid near that for an 04.

$22,500 back in August (I've followed blue book since then and it has dropped over $3500 in "good trade-in" price)
All options except navi and satellite radio

 

I've taken 2 cars to Carmax and their tradein price was at least $1000 less than I ended up getting by trading those cars at the dealer where I was buying my new car. Carmax offers a wholesale price, which is fine, but it's low.

 

if all goes well with the deal im working on, $20,500 04 6MT 37k-mi 1 owner FSBO DG with black leather no Nav overall a clean and taken care of car.

 

wow, I thought I had a fair deal. Same as yours but DG on black. I paid $29.5.....what gives? O well, I'm still happy with what I have and what I paid for it.

Why not throw a picture up here for everyone to look at before they give an answer?

My own take is this, many mods and departure from stock will greatly reduce the prospective buyer pool. You will have a limited audience. If it appears on the exterior as mainly stock, your resale value goes up.

Do you think (for the purposes of Auto-trader / cars.com etc), that my mods will turn off potential buyers?

Also, I noticed on cars.com that there are so many more auto coups than manuals. Does that mean that there's a high deman for 6MT's?
