Do you think (for the purposes of Auto-trader / cars.com etc), that my mods will turn off potential buyers?

Also, I noticed on cars.com that there are so many more auto coups than manuals. Does that mean that there's a high deman for 6MT's?

Maz
The demand depends on who you talk to. Generally, for automotive enthusiasts (like the majority of us on this board) will prefer a 6MT over a manual. Your everyday driver who couldn't care less about mods or driving the car like it is capable of will prefer the automatic. Again, that is a general statement. More importatly as to why you see the high automatic to 6MT ratio is because Nissan didn't make near as many 6MT as they did automatics. I don't have the numbers in front of me but there is a large number of automatics out there compared to 6MTs.

2004 5AT in BS, 17's, Bose, no Navi, no sport package 39,xxx miles, tiny scratch on one of the interior panels, broken shift **** (but they got a new one and installed it free), car has been absolutely great to me
paid 18,500

I think the supply and demand thing will make a MT more desirable. I also stick with my theory that cars with mods so radical that it changes the appearance so much will limit the buyers. On the other hand that drives up the appeal so some really young buyers.

Furthermore I read time and time again that warranty work is refused at the dealer because of Mods made to the original mechanics. Many aware of voids in warranty and stay away from mods. Some even return things to stock before they sell just for that reason.

Good tires, rotors and brakes seem to be key and I even bought a differ color car than I wanted due to my previous owner just installed all 3 a month before I purchased it.

Bought my full-loaded, minus navi DG 2005 Coupe for $24,000 nearly a year ago.
It had 19k miles on it, has 23k miles on it now O_O
It was mint, aside from minor scratches on the front and rear bumper.
Rims had a bit of curb rash as well, which helped in the nego-department.

Purchased in Dec 2007:

2006 6MT coupe with premium package, navigation, RAS with 20K miles for $27K. It was about $1000 more than I wanted to pay, but it still has factory warranty, so I went for it. Those headlights were on my IP coupe.

The IP coupe is my 2003 5AT. I'm probably going to sell it to my dad for $10K, since he's still driving around in my old 91 Legend.

Bought January 21. A 2005 Coupe, owned by a 60 year old woman, 8,800 miles. Automatic, Performance wheel and tire package, Premium package, Spoiler, 3M invisible bra, just serviced. Silver/Gray. Looks and runs like new. $25, 850 in Nashville from the dealer where she traded it in for a Mercedes. Clean Carfax report and also from the local Infiniti dealer. I drove it back home to Virginia.

So based on everyone's opinion, would 22k be a fair price for my car with my sig and mods, with 37k miles (assuming excellent condition?) What's the best I can get you think?

(in San Diego or OC)

Thanks
