Haha, to be honest I'm not sure it was worth it after all the repairs and ignored maintenance that I had to service on it. Plus I won't be satisfied with the car until it's near flawless both cosmetically and mechanically, but right now it still isn't. While I do love the car I still have feelings of regret once in a while!

But I do think that our cars are a pretty good value for what it provides. For the price of our cars, they're reasonably reliable, decent mileage, quick, luxurious, stylish, fun, and back seats make it more practical than a 350z. Poor man's BMW?

Clutch was worn out and suspension needed some work so I spent a little more than $1k to fix it and other little things.
Nice !! Good price, how many miles? Gots any pics? =D

EDIT: And you are spot on-- these cars (whilst they have problems-- oil consumption, power windows, other things) they are basically Nissan. Reliable and cheap to maintain and repair as opposed to other manufacturers.. ahemm.. here's looking at you BMW, Audi, Benz !!

Bought it at 133k miles last November and so far I've only put in 800 miles. I have a short commute to college and work.

Here's pics from the day after I bought her:

Where do you live? Anything here in SoCal is about 2k more for that mileage.

Okay so I'm 16 and have been saving since December of 2015 this car. Looking at 2004-2005. Recently I have been looking more into accords such as civics and Hondas but as brought to my attention to price gap between these two cars isn't much different. Then I went further I got a quote and amazingly the G35 was marked down much lower (35 less a month if I recall) then a 06 accord coupe. After that I check maintanence and cosmetics and what not, and yet again it proved to be at par.. It held a good maintanence such as mechanical and engine wise and the only issues I found to be of concern on this car were the window motors and soft paint. So that comes to the question, why shouldn't I get this car or what should be the reason I should? It would be helpful thankyou all!

Btw. Currently have 2k saved and looking to get car September hopefully... Still need my liscense lol

I found my 04 coupe, fully loaded 6mt with nav, brembos, one owner, very well kept(inside and out), with a very low 33k miles for 14k. It also has a Borla catback and Injen CAI. Car is like new.

First I'll answer why you shouldn't: Well, teen stereotypes of reckless and irresponsible driving aside... The main concern about buying a 10+ year old luxury sports car is that the cost of maintenance and repairs go up. You'd best have some savings and a decent steady source of income if your parents won't be helping you. Most people will tell young drivers to just stick with a cheaper and more reliable alternative(honda, toyota, mazda) and there's good reason to it, but if you absolutely have to get this car and you can easily afford it, well... no one's stopping you.

Now why you should get the car: You get MUCH more for your money compared to if you bought an Accord or Civic Si. Most of your buddies(if they aren't spoiled kids from rich families) will probably be jealous. Lastly, even for being an older car, the chick magnet still works.

If you decide to go with it, I think you'd be better off buying it in full cash. Financing used cars can be a bit sketchy in my opinion.

Very true. And first off I'm not from a rich family and nor am u spoiled! ( middle child for god sake haha) I'm just a average teen with a job and ALOT of patience!!!! My parents will definitely help me out, (paying for insurance) I'm just making the purchase of the car.. I'm sure I'll get some help from relatives and parents with that. And then I'll have to fill the tank a few times as well but that's expected. I am actually looking to pay in full cash, I don't wanna have to deal with payments, financing, interest, etc so getting it out of the way is a must! And finally the g has been a dream car for a while and now with the realization of me getting my hands on one, I don't think I can settle for anything else.

FYI: I'll be doing most maintenance on my own. And if anything gets serious my dad has good connections with a mechanic.

Question, why would ur relatives help? I understand parents helping but why would ur relatives? I'm just wondering. Did u get insurance quote? U kno how much that's gonna cost? Also gas isn't that great if u drive a lot. What's premium gas in ur area?

More specifically my godfather... Around that time it would be my birthday and he already promised to help me out with my first car so in that sense that was what I was referring to. Yea I did, if you read my first post I mentioned it came out cheaper than a 06 Honda Accord coupe (AAA btw) and I'm not.. Just to school which a 10 m drive from my house. And I assume random events so not a lot. And no I don't I live in SoCal tho
