To the people who just bought a used G35 Coupe
But I do think that our cars are a pretty good value for what it provides. For the price of our cars, they're reasonably reliable, decent mileage, quick, luxurious, stylish, fun, and back seats make it more practical than a 350z. Poor man's BMW?
2003 Brilliant Silver Coupe Premium Package
133,000 miles
Came with new tires, coilovers, tints, plenum spacer, z-tube, k&n filter, and '06 headlights.
$7200
Clutch was worn out and suspension needed some work so I spent a little more than $1k to fix it and other little things.

EDIT: And you are spot on-- these cars (whilst they have problems-- oil consumption, power windows, other things) they are basically Nissan. Reliable and cheap to maintain and repair as opposed to other manufacturers.. ahemm.. here's looking at you BMW, Audi, Benz !!
Nice !! Good price, how many miles? Gots any pics? =D

Okay so I'm 16 and have been saving since December of 2015 this car. Looking at 2004-2005. Recently I have been looking more into accords such as civics and Hondas but as brought to my attention to price gap between these two cars isn't much different. Then I went further I got a quote and amazingly the G35 was marked down much lower (35 less a month if I recall) then a 06 accord coupe. After that I check maintanence and cosmetics and what not, and yet again it proved to be at par.. It held a good maintanence such as mechanical and engine wise and the only issues I found to be of concern on this car were the window motors and soft paint. So that comes to the question, why shouldn't I get this car or what should be the reason I should? It would be helpful thankyou all!
Btw. Currently have 2k saved and looking to get car September hopefully... Still need my liscense lol

I found my 04 coupe, fully loaded 6mt with nav, brembos, one owner, very well kept(inside and out), with a very low 33k miles for 14k. It also has a Borla catback and Injen CAI. Car is like new.

Now why you should get the car: You get MUCH more for your money compared to if you bought an Accord or Civic Si. Most of your buddies(if they aren't spoiled kids from rich families) will probably be jealous. Lastly, even for being an older car, the chick magnet still works.

If you decide to go with it, I think you'd be better off buying it in full cash. Financing used cars can be a bit sketchy in my opinion.

You'd best have some savings and a decent steady source of income if your parents won't be helping you. Most people will tell young drivers to just stick with a cheaper and more reliable alternative(honda, toyota, mazda) and there's good reason to it, but if you absolutely have to get this car and you can easily afford it, well... no one's stopping you.

FYI: I'll be doing most maintenance on my own. And if anything gets serious my dad has good connections with a mechanic.
Question, why would ur relatives help? I understand parents helping but why would ur relatives? I'm just wondering. Did u get insurance quote? U kno how much that's gonna cost? Also gas isn't that great if u drive a lot. What's premium gas in ur area?
