The things that you are complaining about is saying you should get a brand new Civic Si sedan.. Sorry if you took that as an insult lol.

Don't expect to pay below 100K for the M3 after dealer markup. In 2014 the GTR won't be that bad b/c by then they will have a newer and faster GTR . It may be expensive but nowhere near 90K. A new one you will be able to get for $90K or a little less after dealer markup. Remember the new GTR's are stickering at $69,000.

If you takes your time and search it a bit? you will a dealer willing to order it for near MSRP or at MSRP, there are few ppl are willing to give up their spot/ allocation for MSRP at various M3 forums.

why would anyone pay more than msrp for an m3? it's not exactly going to be rare.
OP, if you insist on trading to a different car, pick up a used VW TDi. my friend regularly breaks 600 miles per tank. the engine is unbreakable, and it doesn't look too terribly dated. ok, i dunno about the rest of the parts of the car (glow plugs are a problem, apparently), the suspension is about as sporty as a buick, and they're still pricey for how old/how many miles they have.
getting something that achieves ridiculous mileage figures will be the only way you'll come out alright after a couple years, money wise.

Id say for now if you must...buy a used beater. Then save up for whatever car you want later. Because whatever is cool or fresh now..wont be in a few years...new cars are coming out each year...

$100K for an M3? Are you crazy? No way the M3 demands $100K. Anybody who even considers $100K for an M3 needs to have their head examined.
We're not talking a rare commodity here. Cripes.
