Throwout bearing doesn't wear out from tracking the car unless you hold your clutch in at the line for a long long time. Do you ride the clutch at stoplights?

Even though you said you're proficient at driving a manual trans, there's still ways you can get more proficient. I'd recommend taking a closer look at how you drive the car.. maybe there's something minor about your shifting/clutching practices that you aren't even aware of which is wearing components out quicker. But since you mentioned throwout bearing.. if that's actually what was the cause of the problem, you may have fried it by holding the clutch in too much in situations where you should have put the car in neutral and let the clutch out.

Wow 22,000 miles and a new clutch? That does not seem right. I got 82,000 miles out of my original clutch and I drive my car hard almost everyday.

If you drive hard, especialy track the car or dump the clutch at all .

A Stock clutch on any car isnt going to hold up long.

Its something most of us that track our cars or drive hard as hel have learned to deal with .

good luck.

If you want to get a factory clutch I can get you a OEM aftermarket clutch for $250 plus shipping which would be around $25. So $275 shipped to your door...

picked up my car with a new JWT clutch and everything touching it today, and i LOVE it, only one problem, when i push in the clutch my car dies... lightweight flywheel perhaps? the car goes from like 2k to nothing in no time and just plain dies... TB needs to be replaced? i have an intake, will they freak if they see that?

Just a thought, buy a can of MAF cleaner and give it a good cleaning.
