I guess you explained it well when you said that there is just a rectangle cut out for the lens, on the factory spoiler there is a separate painted rectangle below the lens. Thanks for the info!

you do realize that the LED's in the spoiler will not be as bright as the rear LED brake lights...

You mean the leds won't be as bright in the aftermarket spoiler, or in even the OEM spoiler?
