$190 to install OEM Spoiler?

I just called Cochran Infiniti today b/c
i recently just recieved my OEM 04-05 Spoiler(bought from ebay painted
and shipped for $119).

They said it wouuld be $190 to install it and will take
3 hours.

is $190 to much..or should i go to like a local body shop? maybe it
would be cheaper?

anyone have any past experiences with installing spoilers
thanks

I intalled the same one on my coupe by my self very easy... you did not get directions with it? or just dont trust your self lol

all you need is a drill, blue painters tape, phillips screw driver and silicon

place the hole markers in the holes
place spoiler on trunk lid to desired possition
tape the markers down and remove the spoiler
drill the holes and remove the markers
put the spoiler on and screw down
add silicon to the threads of the screws to insure no water will leak
splice into third brake light (assuming you have one since you are spoiler-less)
and you are done! easier said than done but It took me all of 45min maybe to do it

Do it yourself if you have instructions! You could use $190 bucks on more mods right????

Yeah I hear ya ... I didnt trust my self either but mine came out good
i was quoted i think anywhere from $120-160 to install at local body shops so I just went ahead and took the chance.....really only thing you can mess up is the placementof the spoiler just start out with a small drill bit and go bigger and bigger til the screw fits through the hole this way you dont make it too big...just pay attention to detail when lineing the spoiler up on the trunk lid!!

hope all this helps as I wish someone told me this before I did mine

If you're not going to do it yourself, $190 is the billable shop rate. $65/hr is an avg for any decent shop.

Assuming you have the custom non-lit spoiler, drilling holes is not needed.

OP...I would let Infiniti install it for you. They'll make sure the fitments and connections are correct.
