The VDC is Vehicle Dynamic Control, which controls the engine power and traction control to help keep the wheels from spinning and helping, but not avoiding, to keep the car from losing control. It still comes down to the driver to drive sensibly. There's an on/off button by your left knee near the bottom of the dash. I always keep this on, unless I need to get the wheels spinning for a quick start and not have the engine power cut out on me.
I guess I needed to stress that the cold does limit the tires abilities, as I learned going sideways on a cold and dry winter street in the morning. The tires need to be driven to be warmed up when it's cold out to make them grip more.
I drove in snow and slush several times this winter, and I didn't have any big problems. I did take it quite easy on the revs though, and was careful around corners. I know that slipping is unavoidable in some situations, so a light touch can help.

I think I'm the only one in jersey who doesn't see G's on a regular basis. Only one down the road from me, identical to yours GR8T, and the occasional sedan on 18. Definatly keeps up the "god I love my car" thought every time I walk out the door.

I just put a deposit on a new G, Diamond Graphite, 6MT, Prem, Nav, Aero, XM,... I think the only thing I'm missing is trunk mats... Picking it up on April 4th.. Can't wait and I'm counting down the days to start driving just in time for good weather!!! =)
