New G35 ! Wowwweee

Just got a diamond graphite G35 Coupe with everything last night....I love it so much, it's sitting all alone in a parking lot somewhere in jersey, I can't wait to drive it tonight...is it just me or is this the nicest car on the road????? Yipeeeeee, anything I should know about it (besides it sucks in the snow...)?
Denise
btw...selling a black 1995 automatic acura integra (great condition)...if interested email at neeseuconn@yahoo.com

Re: New G35 ! Wowwweee

Congrats on the new G. Did you get auto or manual?
I don't think that the car is as bad in the snow as people initially think. Just keep the VDC on and keep the revs lower, and it shouldn't be a problem.
I live in Chicago, and test drove and bought my G (manual trans.) on a day when we had an ice storm in the morning. It was a good experience on the test drive to see the capabilities on ice covered roads. No problems. The VDC will help maintain control, as long as you drive smartly, and not try to powerslide at 50mph in a snow covered street.

Get a coat of wax, zaino, etc., on it, and get ready for summer cause it's almost here. Yes, I am jealous of the weather that those of you in the south and Cali have, but our three months of nice weather are on their way. You just wish that you could be as happy about it being in the 60s as I am. Good riddance winter!

Congratulations!!!! Are you cute? Lets exchange pictures of us and our G's...you first! Invest in some snow tires and smile while your driving.

**MayorDaley your giving the G wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy to much credit. I can't stress this enough. The 18" Pilots don't work in the snow...Its dangerous in the snow. You need snow tires....period. There is no other way around it unless your car came with the 17's. Ice and snow two completely different things. Run a search for all the G's that were left on the side of highways this past winter.

Re: New G35 ! Wowwweee

I got the deal of the century. My dad helped me because he is really good at getting deals. I am leasing (auto trans) and I got the $36 K (premium pckg, wheel pgckg, and aero pckg) for way less than 36. My lease started in the upper $400's and my dad got it down to the $300's (42 months 12,000mi/yr)...I was amazed, especially because I got a new job and I am paying for everything...Needless to say I am extremely happy with the deal (not exactly sure what the MSRP comes to since I am leasing)...THANKS FOR THE INFO! Denise

Re: New G35 ! Wowwweee

I also have to chime in on the snow because I just had my first experience in it last week. Here in PA we got about 1" while I was at work. I had driven the G to work (usually would drive my beater if had known), and attempted to get home at about 5pm. It was only slush by then, but it was the scariest experience I have had driving in snow! I have driven many cars in the snow, and this is by far the worst. Of course I kept the VDC on, but it was no help. 1st gear slid every time I tried to get moving and trying to turn was horrific. Unless you buy some 17s and snow tires, do not drive your G in the snow!! Just my 2 cents...

Yeah, I have heard this from many (about snow)...I do not plan on driving it in snow, this may sound silly but, what is VDC?? I literally saw my car for a couple hours last night and for 20 min this morning, I am dying for 6 o clock to roll around!!!!!!!!! I can tell it is a guzzler too!
