Im wondering if there is such a thing? I was under the impression that only the March-June 6mt's recieved the half year mark in 03 becuase of the updates to the car. Can someone clear this half year mark thing up for me? I have a

03 with a date of june 03, but its an auto which remain unchanged...is it an 03.5??

Is there such a thing as an 04.5?

 

I think the 03.5 5ATs, got the shift **** from the FX.

 

There is a different service manual for 2004.5 coupes. The VIN numbers start at 800001. I don't know what the changes are though but they must be significant if they putout a different manual.

Sorry to correct you...my early 04 AT still had the 03 shift ****....somewhere after sept production they went to the newer FX style ****.......
I asked the parts dept for the price of the newer style ****...they told me around 200....they must have bumped their heads......<font color=blue>2old4this</font color=blue>

what does the old one look like? I have the button on the front. It's black leather with a silver plastic stripe going down the middle like a skunk.

 

Yes, there are 04.5s. Both coupes and Sedans. With coupes, the VINs start at 800001. Sedan VINs start at E*4M600001 or F*4M700001.

That just sounds like the newer engines are more restricted. That could be just me though. Whenever I hear LEV or better for the environment...I picture a highly restricted engine.

Your **** is the 03 version...I think they started with the new style **** in Oct 03..........Look at a coupe in the showroom next time you get a service...its slightly different with the parking button on the front of the **** and the **** tappers more towards the base...<font color=blue>2old4this</font color=blue>

I saw an '04 coupe with the FX **** last week when I went in for an oil change. Not too bad but nothing to cause me to want to switch the **** either. I like the idea that the coupe is now a little different from the sedan, but then again, it is now a little more similar to the FX.
