Yeah I drove a 335 auto... phenomenal - just feels reallly fast. Nothing at all like the Bimmers I've driven before (although that SMG e46 M3 was nice... )

**** in my 03 350z i had a new clutch and flywheel installed by nissan an 10 miles after leaving the dealership in miami, my 350z tranny locked up and sent me head on into the wall on I95 at 70 mph....so those trannies do suck and almost killed me and my girlfriend.... whole reason i drive a 5AT now, cuz i cant afford an 07 or newer yet....

the "revised" tranny that i have on my car right now seems to be very good. had it for almost 30k and never had any issues.

Damn, that's crazy... What exactly happened when it locked up? Wouldn't come out of gear even with the clutch in or what?

Vishnu has that chip for $1,200 that put the 335i into mid 12's. I drove a 6MT E92 335i and that thing was awesome. Handled sssooooo good and the power was instant and you never lost it. I really cant picture myself paying $50k+ for a 3 series though.

I know you guys seen the 135i!?

Man that 135i is smalllllllll though. Although considering you can chip it the same way you can the 335i, it's extremely tempting - only $40K instead of $50K!

My 03 feels like the tyranny is also going, it grinds sometimes when switching gears from 3rd to 4th...anyone have similar issue? When you guys got your tyranny is it a brand new tyranny or rebuilt?

^as I mentioned before it has nothing to do with u pushing the car or not. Some of us do have defective Manual transmission and should be brought up to the dealers attention before ur warranty expires.

THAT'S EXACTLY what mine did when it started to give me problems. Take it into the dealer ASAP.. I had mine replaced at least all the insides were. They only kept the casing but replaced everything else.

If Infiniti twin-turbo'd the VQ, it would be even faster. Anyway, the VQHR is a big step up from the VQDE and produces much more power than even a moderately modded VQDE.
