I as well wanted to respond to the locked thread....kinda fits perfectly with what I wanted to say too....
Wow, no offense, but you moderators are lazy as hell then. Learn how to lock threads when they get bad, learn how to kick abusive users off the board. Dont take away our ability to talk about our cars in OPEN discussion on these boards because you guys cant take hearing a little bitching. I've been here for only a month or so, and I really like this board. I've found it to be incredibly informative about my car and theres alot of people who truly know what they are talking about here. And I'm sorry, I've been on other forums from my other cars, moderators usually were 2 super mods per division, 1 mod per section. Keep your eyes open and the boards clean and you wont hear bitching. Basically, what I'm trying to say is instead of imposing ridiculous rules on us about what we "can and cannot talk about" here, basically saying we cannot express our opinions unless they coincide with the original post, all bullshit. Learn how to moderate a board instead of moderating its users.

My $.02. If ya dont like it, then pretend I didnt say it. Thats all it takes to get along on a board. Oh yeah, and flaming happens on every board, just as it happens in real life. Stop acting like insanly over protective parents, it only makes owners and mods look worse.

Ok, this is fricking ridiculous. Why would the moderators lock out these threads? Completely unwarranted....if you don't like it in "General" than move it to Off Topic or somewhere. Locking just proves our point....we were not slamming anybody so why lock the thread. Malx, you started something you hadn't intended but has relevence to this community but locking threads like this is proving our point.

Malx....it may have been your post was just misconstrued but it certainly hit a note with at least a few of us. I have NO issue with banning posters that don't show common etiquette and follow some simple rules. I do also realize it is a privately owned site (hell....how many servers aren't?) and you guys do hold the keys. But it is the forum members that are the demand side of the equation and without us there would be no need for a site. Ban the idiots...no question there, as long as its clear what would cause a banning.

Shader7....I totally agree with your points. Consider this option 2....I'm lobbying to change a recently posted rule that seemed a bit extreme....that's it

I never thought of it in this way...but I am going to have to say I agree with you! You bring up some very good points, I'm not sure I entirely agree with your delivery, as it might break some of the rules here now with the new rules and all, but overall great comments!

That's my fault-- I locked the other thread, as it was accomplishing absolutely nothing and just riling people up for the sake of doing so. If you would like a place to vent, feel free to go there- I'll open it back up, though I implore you to internalize what you're going to say before you put it out there permanently.

PS- Please do not mistakenly believe that qualifying a statement with "No offense, but" will actually make what follows any less offensive. Many of us work our collective butts off to keep this place in line, and to have such disrespect makes me wonder why I even bother with this particular forum.
