Re: Lease deals

VPP = Vehicle Purchase Program - it basically gives you a no haggle price for about $600 over dealer invoice. You either have to be part of a company list which is associated with Infiniti or you need to have a friend or family member that works for Nissan, Infiniti, or NMAC.
Also, as a helpful hint - the questions you should be asking regarding lease deals are the following:

Selling Price of the Vehicle
Monthly Payments
Lease Term
Miles/Year
Residual
Money factor
Total due at signing

These answers will help you figure out if you're getting a fair deal on your lease.

Hope this helps.

Re: Lease deals

mark5, the critical elements in a lease are of course the MSRP, and the the Money Factor (essentially the interest rate), residual, and fees. These all add up to the monthly payment. You need to understand all of this or the dealer can rip you. Leaseguide.com is a good site to study the basics of leasing. I ended up with an on-line lease from leasepower.com and am real happy with the rate and the service. Much better deal than what the dealer has offered.

Re: Lease deals

I went through AAA and got a dealership to work with but a little further from home. Negotiate the price (MSRP) first and then you want to ask what the money factor is. You need to have a good credit score as well. You don't want to negotiate your monthly payment. There was someone on here that got their car for $32K (6MT, Prem, Aero, Splash guards). You can get a good price, just don't take any crap from the dealer. I am a female, I should know. I stuck to what I wanted and got it. Oh, when you lease, you shouldn't have to put a security deposit down either -- you can get them to waive that as well. You really shouldn't put any money down on the car since it is a lease and the only fees you pay upfront are for tags, taxes, etc. I paid like $1300 and that was it.

Re: Lease deals

Just go in and if they ask if you are buying or leasing, tell them you are not sure. Do you know what you want on the car (all the options, colors, etc.)? Go in when you know exactly what you want. I told them no three times and made them go back and forth until I got what I wanted. They try to distract you and make you think differently and when you lease, they can make money on the front and/or back end of the deal. You want to be careful of that.

Here is a good website: http://www.carbuyingtips.com/.

Good luck!

Re: Lease deals

mark5, that's an awesome deal for $2000 down and $425/month. you're paying less than malx ($510/month, no money down). i got mine for $4000 down, $408/month for 39 months, 15,000 miles. i think you should take that deal... my specs/options were same as yours except for splash guards.

black/graphite g35c 6mt premium aero splashguards

Re: Lease deals

I think I got a GREAT deal especially after reading the numbers here. I have an auto coupe with premium and aero package and I am paying $385 a month with 2k down, 39months, 12000 per year. This was from Ray Catena in Edison, NJ for those interested go see Vinny.
