I was planning on getting the darkest color besides Black (Diamond Graphite?), but I'd really like to get Black. I had two black cars before and it was tough, so for my current car, I went the complete other direction and got Pearl White.

I'm sure I'll be BABY'ing the G, but anyone regret getting the black? I'm sure I'll be happy with either color, but black just looks so tough.

BTW, how's the black holding up it's shine/swirls?

I second that.

If you don't like giving your car a nice spunge bath and a nice rub down once a week, don't get black.

It's a pain in the butt to keep clean but well worth it IMHO. There is nothing that looks better than a nice black car with a nice coat of wax/zaino.

 

I don't have a black G, mine's red, but do have another car that is black. I keep it clean, but it is impossible to keep the swirl marks to a minimum. You will have the same issues with Midnight Blue too. I don't plan to get another black car, but if you like the color just get it anyway. Go with what you want in your gut and you won't be disappointed.

I regret Black big time. I would have waited 4 months had I known this. I try not to look at my car when the sun is out. Once the sun goes down and the swirl marks are hidden then I can look and smile. WHen the sun shines on it, its nothing but dissappointing. I mean and I dont have a garage nor the time to wash my car 5 times a week and apply zaino. i wish I did though. I would not get black again. This is my first black car and probably my last unless I get real rich and have private detailers detailing my cars everyday(lol). Good luck with your decision.

 

my first black car and i wouldn't trade it for another color. the black G is very sharp IMunbiasedHO. i use a california duster for the pollen, wash one a week and wax once a month. i minimize scartches and swirls by drying with a leaf blower (which i only use for the cars) so far so good and i get a lot of compliments on the car and color.

I've never used Zaino personally, but from what I know about it, I don't think it's gonna really remove/hide any swirls. If you really want to remove/hide swirls, you're gonna need a circular or orbital machine polisher and some good cutting polish.

And BTW, I LOVE my black G! But then again, if you don't have much time to put into working on it, you might be a little disappointed if you're really nit-picky about how it looks (like I am).

There is already midnight blue available on the 04' coupes. AKA Twilight Blue.

good choice on the IP[img]/w3timages/icons/wink.gif[/img]. here's how i came to choose it. black is cool but my gf's SpecV is black and got another black beater car and really, i hate to look at these under the sun unless otherwise sooo clean. i hate the CB as im biased, my 99civicSi blue is still d best blue for me. red is too fancy for me, or for my age. DG is the best among the silver hues but too many of them on the street. TB has no identity IMO. IP is classic, under the sun its so classy, at night it's the best color to see the G's curves, it glows.
