New Toys

got some new toys and some service done:

JWT Lightweight Flywheel, from dual disk, to single disk 14 lbs... YAY!:

JWT Clutch, carbon-kevlar composite(???):

JWT Pressure Plate: HEAVY DUTY, but this is good!:

Surprisingly BIG assembly as a whole... you can see the bearings up top on the right of the Pressure plate:

bearings:

Stainless steel braided clutch line - keeps pedal more constant during hard runs and stuff:

Services:
Oil Change with synthetic blend oil
Changing brake fluid and clutch fluid to something with a higher boiling point than stock.
getting 02 sensors checked to see if they are bad or my non-foulers are not working...
topping off all fluids.

I wish i had video of the last mile after i saw the dealership... needless to say, there was little to none clutch left at all, and it was burning out the bottom of the car... i played it off like i was having to do that to get it there... NOT... it was fun sitting at 5k and going like 5 mph for half a mile... good times. I am having them give me the old materials so i can hang them in my wall in my room.

Good times!!! 13's here i come!

Kevin

Is the dealership putting this in for you?

Nice combo by the way. Good thing you are doing this all at once. I plan on going you route very soon. Let us know how it feels after you finish.

feels great, higher engagement, and after a 500 mile break in, 110% of OEM stiffness wise, still very streetable, but nothing to learn on More details if asked!

Awesome. Sounds good, what mileage was your last clutch running at? Was it your first M/T? Thus having to replace it? Was it slipping?

Thanks, and enjoy your new clutch! Manual FTW!
