Re: Valentine One installation pics

Search www.my350z.com, there's a guy name Mike there that has created a rear mirror mount for both the Valentine1 and Escort8500. I got it for my Escort and it's great.

See, the last thing anyone looking for help want to do is sign up for yet another site.

Is there any pics you could post of your set up!

Re: Valentine One installation pics

G35 owners should be reading my350z.org as well as generally their discussions are more on the technical side (if you're into modding your car) and often applies to the G35.

Anyways, here's a pic of my setup.

Here's a closeup of the mount. Not sure if I want to hardwire it or not as the dangling wire doesn't bother me.

Re: Valentine One installation pics

some of you guys mount it way too high where it can be easily seen by cops and some of you mount it where the radar is completely covered.i was told that it works best when u mount it level with your hood.

Mine can't be seen from the outside (front or back), has no wires showing, and has a clear view front and back.

Re: Valentine One installation pics

The front windshield has tint on the top that will reduce your radar detector's range. I like having it under the rear mirror as I can easily access the controls if needed. I don't see any problem with cops seeing it as it's perfectly legal in Washington state.
