Re: New Film Pictures

I've always wondered what people would do with other people's license plate numbers. It's not like I couldn't look outside and see a bunch.

Re: New Film Pictures

I do... I have a house in PA so we registered our cars there. My car is hardly in PA so someone couldn't just steal my car anyway. And if you could find my house in PA, props to you, lol.

Thanks - Joey Avino

Re: New Film Pictures

And this is one reason not to show your licence plate. If you live in NJ you should register your car in NJ. Hopefully NJ Motor Vehicle (now DMC) rep is not visiting here. You don't want to have insurance problems. "Residence" is the issue....

Cool pictures... by the way since you seem to know your cameras.... any suggestions in a digital camera?? I want a 4-5 mega pix.. cost ~$500. I have looked at cannon and olympus. Any input would be very helpful!! Thanks in advance!

Re: New Film Pictures

Hehe. I'm currently a photography student myself. I have two cameras: a Canon EOS A2E SLR and a newer Canon D60 SLR Digital Cam. The one thing I have to say is: I would never go back to using color film again. You get all the same options on digital, but you take pictures in 6.3Megapixel quality. The full frame fills more than a 19" LCD monitor. You never have to pay for film, and on a 512 MB card you can take from 200 - 500 shots depending on the quality you pick. You can also pick ISO from 100 to 1600, and change it at a whim. The coolest part is all you're Canon ES lenses are interchangable. Finally, you won't have to scan and have the line marks like I see on the pics you posted. =) Look into a Digital SLR .. The newer model to my D60, 10D out right now by Canon is like $1500 for the body. There is also a 1DS which runs for like $8000 for professional use.

I use my old SLR film for black and white use. I have some pretty cool black and white G pics that I'll post if I get someone to scan for me.

Here's a pic that had to be resized and quality reduced like mad taken from my digital SLR.

Re: New Film Pictures

But the thing is I don't want to have to spend 1,500 just for the body of the camera when I spent 300 for my film SLR... Besides, I get free film and developing from work.. keke-_-

Thanks - Joey Avino

Re: New Film Pictures

Also.. you have to remember that your "full frame" digital pictures, if printed at 300dpi (what color film is printed at on paper) will only be 4x6inches like normal film and you can't blow it up without printing it and re-scanning it because there is no negative.

Thanks - Joey Avino
