sound of the g35

i was wondering when your car is in idle, are you suppose to hear the engine more than the exhaust or the exhaust more than the engine? because my engine sound louder than my exhaust and i'm not sure if its normal

its normal on stock exhausts for the engine to be louder on idle

If your talking about while your waiting in front of your home while you warm up your G?...try parking it with it's back towards the house

uh the exhaust would be pointing towards you and you would hear it more, ...at least it does to me and my engine is quite noisey as well.

Were you refer to hearing the engine more when your inside your vehicle?
