Revup vs. VQ35HR?

I thought that the Revup motor = VQ35HR, but in reading this post Here It's stated that an '05 Coupe 6MT comes with the revup. I know that it doesn't come up with the VQ35HR (7'500 redline, dual intake) because my '06 has neither of those things, but is my '06 considered a revup?

So what are the differences between the VQ35DE pre-'05 and the revup versions? Other than the 280-to-298 hp change, mechanically what is there?

Don't quote me on this, but I think the revup has longer runners in the plenum. Has a higher redline too.

The 03-04 only have mechanical intake cam variable timing adjustment whereas the 05 up have both exhaust and intake mechanical cam variable timing adjustment. This is the fundamental difference; the drawback is low power down low RPM range in the 05 up. lower HP on the 03-04 at redline and a lower redline.
It's all relative...

You can't have the revup if your car isn't 6MT.

Yes there are look here:
On the left is a Rev-Up, and on the right is a Non Rev-Up. (minus the flat runners).

And what htownboy said.

If I can put the VQ37HR into my G35 Coupe I would be a very happy man. I rather have that engine than Vortech my car or turbo it. The new 3.7L V6 is much smoother than the old clunky VQ35DE.

Of course if a VR38DETT is available...........

I love my DE engine. I punish the hell out of it and it keeps coming back asking for more. After 89K it's still as strong as the day I bought it new.

Although I would love to swap a Vq35HR in there with some turbos.
