Re: Infiniti/Mercedes comparison

I too appreciate your input.
I had a '98 CLk and I REALLY liked that car. So much that I went and bought my wife a C230K. Both were nice cars.
I have driven the new CLK and compared to the older CLK's; the new one is crap. Feels like a 2 door sedan, not sporty at all.
My G35C give me more of the '98 CLK feeling only the G35 is much faster and you arn't isolated so much from the road or the sound of the motor.

I agree with everyone else that you are way to serious about this....he didn't mean it as a shot at the car but as his own subjective opinion of the two cars and what he prefers....don't knock his taste just because it doesn't agree with yours.

You guys are right! My mistake!

I didn't mean to sound like an "overzealous car nut". I didn't mean to be so critical of you...slk2g35. I just thought it was odd that the negatives you portrayed about the slk32 are the primary reasons for buying it. Again...sorry for for being a *****! ...and enjoy the g35!!

Re: Infiniti/Mercedes comparison

I hope you know I was refering to scg's reaction to slk's report on the two cars don't you? I know to some that the comparison is way off base and in regards to that I would have to agree on comparing my G to what I know of the AMG's, personally I would love to own an AMG myself but alas that is not in the stars. And on paper and on the reviews I have read the SL55 seems to be pretty much the best 2 seater convertible out there. I just wanted to point out that slk just put out there his own opinions on the car and what some ppl like about the car maybe he doesn't, the reasons ppl buy a certain car maybe different and we should be able to air those differences without being told that we are an idiot or otherwise.

Re: Infiniti/Mercedes comparison

My mom owns a Mercedes E320, and yes I know this is a very different car than the coupe, but I gotta say, I TOTALLY agree that Mercedes build quality has decreased significantly. That car is the biggest piece of ---- ever. It constantly has problems, and it's always the same thing over and over. Not to mention, the service dept. at the dealership near our house is awful, because they never seem to fix anything on the car when it's brought in for service (which is about once every 2 months). The same problems pop up again and again. I will NEVER buy a Mercedes just from the problems we've had with that one.
