i was going to get a nav at first, but the G i wanted was alrdy at the dealership and i didnt want to wait. now im just wonderin if its possible to get a NAV from a busted G?? and how much would it run me? thx

ps. if anyone on this board has a busted G wit NAV that they would like to sell lemme know how much

haha that was actually the site i got the idea from.

 

Possible? Yes. Cost effective? No. The main wire harness in the dash is different from Nav G to Non-Nav G. The harness is upwards of $1300 and is woven throughout the dash. Buy the screen/console/radio/HVAC out of a wreck G and install your own new screen in it and an aftermarket Navi in the glove box.

I looked into this for quite some time and this is the only reasonable route to take.

Yah .... i've heard different stories from people.....which made me regret not getting the stock NAV from infiniti. One dealership said "its impossible to do it." another said "$5000." There is no aftermarket screen that can be fit in the little cubby hole (all the way in) without high $$$ custom work. sorry buddy we're SCREWED hahahahah save your money and buy some rims =), haha thats what im gonna do...hehe

you'll need the screen, new dash buttons, harnesses, gps antenna, and control unit...

upwards of 7,000 to get em thru inf/niss new, but, maybe used........(?)
