Opinions on used coupe price

Hey guys and gals...

I've been lurking on the board for a while and appreciate the info I've learned. I have the opportunity to pick up a used 2003.5 coupe and I want to know your thoughts on price. Here goes:

2003 G35 6MT - DG/G, Prem, Aero, Navi, Splash Guards, Trunk Mat, 3,000 miles, garaged & covered - $35,995

Edmunds says this car is worth ~$32K on a private sale.

Your thoughts?

Thanks!

Only a $1-2k seperates that car and a brand new 04 coupe. I would go for a new one.

Yea, that is a pretty crappy price. For that you could/should go brand new.

Re: Opinions on used coupe price

You'd be retarded to pay what a dealer is asking for a used one. The 'sticker price' doesn't mean a damn thing. 36k for a used one is a joke. you know why the dealer asks so much for it? so they can say, heck you might as well buy a new one. that way A) they make more, and B) they hope it illustrates its good resale value, giving the buyer another reason to like the car.

People of the board; approach EVERY statement/offer made by the dealership with extreme skepticism.

The car is being sold privately, not through a dealer. There is no way I'd pay $36 for it, but I was wondering what you guys thought of the car at $32. Also, consider there is a $2K tax savings for used over new at this price.

Well if buying new don't pay sticker. I had dealers offering me $1k off over the phone before I even got there.
